Byzantium Novum is always accepting volunteer soldiers and civilians to promote Byzantine military traditions and living history.
It is free to join, and within our international Byzantine community you will be regarded as a member of the Byzantine Army!
Volunteers begin as recruited soldiers, and thereafter may earn further rank within the Militarium with service.
 

HOW TO JOIN THE BYZANTINE ARMY:
 

I. Become an official Citizen of Byzantium Novum.

II.  Read and agree to abide by the BYZANTIUM NOVUM MILITARIUM OATH.

II.  Notify the Militarium of your willingness to serve by joining
and posting to the Militarium List of Byzantium Novum.

The officers of the Militarium will assist you from there.

As a volunteer in the Byzantine Army you will have the opportunity to experience many aspects of what life was like in the later Eastern Roman army, uphold and promote Byzantine Civilization, Culture and History, and also participate in positive, peaceful present day charitable and civic causes! 

What does the Byzantine Army in Byzantium Novum do?

Assists in the training of Byzantine soldiers and civilian support staff
Holds and attends living history reenactments
Offers educational presentations and events
Participates in present day charitable and civic causes
Maintains itself as a Military Order to continue the traditions of the armies of Rome
